Welcome to the Bauen Camp!

"At Bauen Camp this summer, it was rewarding to see teenagers finding new ways to express themselves.
One soft-spoken girl surprised herself (as well as the rest of us) when she passionately voiced her poem. A group of teens created a rap performance full of rhythm and alliteration. The joy that these teens shared while creating their art forms and working together made the weeks at Bauen Camp a rich and satisfying experience."

• TEACH ART at camp to kids from around the world
• MENTOR BAUEN CAMPER networks year round
• HELP SPRING CLEAN and get us ready for summer
• DONATE BUILDING SKILLS for repairing facilities and new Building construction or upgrades; mentoring other volunteers in construction
• PLANT AND/OR TEACH GARDENING in our vegetable patch or flower beds
• PLAN fundraising and public camper art events
• WRITE GRANTS to local service organizations, corporations and foundations
• HELP IN THE OFFICE with filing, mailings, data entry and more
• ORGANIZE CAMPER OUTREACH EVENTS in your community for camper alumni, network gatherings and camper recruitment. Get the word out!
• WRITE PRESS RELEASE or CREATE MARKETING MATERIAL or contact your local media to share your Bauen Camp story
• SHARE PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE by providing legal, insurance, medical, business or financial consulting
• SERVE ON OUR BOARD, ADVISORY BOARD or COMMITTEES for programming, marketing, fundraising, risk management or strategic planning.

• build your understanding of youth issues;
• engage you in cross-cultural and multi-generational conversations;
• connect you to other volunteers, activists, and artists;
• inspire your life through the creative life of the camp.
